National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP)
The National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP) primary mandate is to provide business development services;
startup incubators and funding for young businesses to enable them grow.
NEIP activities are anchored on three interventions:
- Presidential pitch which offers young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18~35, the chance to pitch their business ideas
before the H.E. The President of the Republic of Ghana, annually
- Greenhouse initiative which supports sustainable Green House base farming throughout the country.
- Skills Training Centre which provides skills development platform for entrepreneurs and the youth.
These three intervention areas have positively impacted on 19,000 businesses or entrepreneurs in Ghana and a total of
4,350 beneficiaries received funding which contributed to the GDP Growth of the country.
NEIP is a critical part of component 3 of the project and
is expected to use the resources provided by the project to
strengthen its business processes, enhance support to start-ups throughout the country
and re-engineer its capacity building interventions for entrepreneurship hubs in Ghana.
